This year, No Barriers Zen will host our commuter Fall sesshin, or meditation retreat, in Baltimore, MD during the weekend of September 10-13. We will engage in the deep practice of zazen (meditation), listen to Dharma talks, and engage in shared work and community discussions. By going deeper into our practice, we are offered the opportunity to connect more deeply with the Buddhist teachings and recognize our vast interdependence with all beings.
All are welcome. No prior meditation experience is required. Our sesshin will be conducted in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, and interpretation will be provided.
We will offer two opportunities to join the sesshin.
For those who are available to attend starting on Thursday, September 10, we will begin with a welcome meal at 5pm EST, followed by evening meditation and a full day of sesshin practice on Friday.
For those who aren’t available on Thursday, but still want to participate in the weekend practice, you are welcome to join us for dinner on Friday, September 11 at 5pm EST.
Registration information and the schedule can be found below. We look forward to practicing with you.
In gassho.
